Hannah’s Hope
We are kicking off January 2018 by sharing the heart behind each of our programs at Ignite Hope. Today we focus in on Hannah’s Hope.
Each team is captained by an Ignite Hope trained prayer warrior and is staffed by additional team members for full coverage throughout this season.
James 1:27,”Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
Heart behind the program: Hannah’s Hope literally came from our felt-need walking through the adoption process as parents. At times we felt overwhelmed, lonely or just plain discouraged. We knew we were walking in God’s will, but it was like being paper pregnant with no “due date,” and at times the uncertainty and the cumbersome nature of the journey threatened to derail our adoption plans. We prayed to have people come alongside us in Truth and Prayer. Once our adoption was finalized, we realized that possibly we weren’t the only family struggling at times to place one foot in front of the other on this journey…so we decided that as God allowed we would walk this journey out with others coming behind us…and train others to do the same.
